Revolutionising examiner training with virtual innovation
Omnia Interactive, in collaboration with Amazing Interactives, developed a cutting-edge virtual training solution for the DVSA to address low first-time pass rates in the driving examiner qualification exam. A key challenge was the limited availability of real-world practice opportunities, making it difficult for trainees to gain hands-on experience before their final assessment.
Our solution is a fully interactive virtual exam environment designed for desktop use in a classroom setting. It features 360-degree video recordings of real-world driving scenarios that examiners must assess, providing a realistic and immersive training experience.
A core component of the application is a complete re-creation of the DVSA’s official iPad test application, mirroring its interface and functionality with precision. This ensures trainees become fully familiar with the tools they will use in actual driving assessments.
Built as a native Windows desktop application, the system integrates with an AWS-powered backend for secure authentication and storage of user mock exam data. This allows trainees to track progress and refine their skills through repeated practice.
